New to Stagecoach Devon, Alexander Dennis Trident ALX400 18304 (WA05MHJ) was converted to open top for summer services in Devon in 2017. More recently it has been transferred and repainted for the Peak Sightseer service operated by Stagecoach Yorkshire alongside some newer open top converted Enviro400 buses. Our regular corespondent, Ed Goodridge and his partner are enjoying a break in the area, which included a ride on the Peak Sightseer, a perfect choice for this year's hot summer. The Trident is seen awaiting departure from the major tourist attraction of Chatsworth House on a picture perfect day. Sadly the stalwart Trident ALX400 will be joining Chatsworth as an item of history, closed top versions with Stagecoach now survive in penny numbers, its tourist role may help 18304 outlive many of its contemporaries.
